Flava Dance Studios originated in 2003 through Directors Afroditi Rallis and Marissa Angeletos.

Flava Dance Studios offers the opportunity for the individual student to participate in our courses to improve their potential in dance and performance. We strongly believe in the importance of a balanced mind and body, and what better way to do so than by dancing, keeping fit and staying cool.

FDS is a pure hip-hop funk dance school, producing high quality dance funk and Hip Hop, by teachers with the latest street dance styles. All ages are welcome from 4 to adults as well as all standards, from beginners to advanced.

Terms 1 and 3 are technique terms, where certain movements are taught, then practiced. A great time to start!!!

Students have the chance to perform twice a year (Term 2 and 4) at Flava's Mid-year and End of year performances; this is a great opportunity for the individual to build their confidence as a performer.

Since 1996, known as the FLAVA performance crew, Afroditi, Marissa and third member Elizabeth Rallis have been dancing and performing at numerous events and functions within Australia.

Flava is a hip-hop funk performance crew with a reputable history in the SA entertainment industry, performing live at the SA dance Music Awards, Fresh FM launch parties, Two time winners of HYPE Entertainment dance Competitions, Support Acts for Human Nature, Run DMC, Selwyn, Kulcha, Killing Heidi, CLIPSAL 500 and many more…

Our passion for dance and live performance experiences has enabled us to share our knowledge of dance, thus establishing Flava Dance Studios. Our school gives the opportunity to the youth of today to experience the joys of dancing, while also keeping mentally and physically balanced.

In 2005, Flava Dance Studios was nominated in the category of Young Performer of the Year for Outstanding Growth, winning the SA NEIS Business of the Year award!!!

Our mission is to produce a high quality service in a professional and safe environment, where fun and learning is our number one priority.

INFO:  My dance training has consisted of a variety of styles, which I have been fortunate to experience over the last 14 years. I have been dancing since I was 9 years old. Since then, it has been a hectic roller coaster ride of dance performances, which has given me the experience and skills that I retain today. I studied certificate 3 in Dance and Performance; a full-time dance course at Dance Factory in Melbourne . I studied a number of classes, which included jazz, ballet, drama, contemporary, singing, tap, funk, acrobats, anatomy, jazz performance, theatre studies and musical theatre. I also received first class Honors in Funk levels 1-4 at Dance Factory's Teaching Academy.

I have taught in the industry for over seven years, specializing in Funk and Jazz. I have experienced a number of performances; including the S.A dance Music awards and the Clipsal 500. Support acts for Celebrities such as CDB, Kulcha, N-Trance, Selwyn, Killing Heidi, Run-DMC, Denni Hines, J-Wess and Human Nature, have also contributed to my performance experiences. Currently coaching and choreographing for the Flava Funk Crew at corporate functions, as well as international competitions for FISAF and School Aerobics. I continue to choreograph for a large number of High schools within South Australia and Victoria. I am always eager and willing to take on any challenges and use my people & business skills to be successful in my line of work. I continue to update my skills and knowledge through international dance workshops with famous choreographers all over the world. Performed and trained in Hollywood with top choreographers in 2007. INFO:  My 13 years of performance experience in Dance, Funk, and Hip Hop has given me the opportunity to explore and discover the entertainment and fitness industry, the people, the music, as well as the different styles of dance. My live performances, to name a few, have included- The Planet Nightclub, The Look of the Year, S.A. Dance Music Awards and the Clipsal 500. Support Acts for celebrities such as, CDB, Kulcha, N-Trance, Selwyn, Killing Heidi, Deni Hines, Human Nature, J-Wess and Run-DMC has also been an exhilarating experience for me. Hard work and training as a qualified fitness instructor, has contributed to my desire to teach what knowledge I have encapsulated over the years. I have taught at numerous High schools and Primary Schools, as well as Universities and talent agencies.

Currently I am coaching and choreographing for the Flava Performance Funk Crew, taking part in National and International Competitions for School Aerobics and FISAF, as well as performing regularly at corporate functions and high profile events through out South Australia. The people skills that I possess have enabled me to be successful in my line of work and I never tire from interacting and communicating with the public. I continue to update my skills and knowledge through international dance workshops with famous choreographers all over the world. Performed and trained in Hollywood with top choreographers in 2007.
